Pictures taken on a rainy, foggy day, the scope pics turned out OK, but forgive the lack of photography skills on the through-the-scope reticle pics. I love, love, love this reticle! House in pic is ~~200 yards away
First, the boxes, the boxes are very nicely done, kind of like a waxed cardboard with a nice finish. Who cares about boxes? Sig does...scopes come with turret wrench, zero stop wrench, battery, instruction manual, and free SBT turret coupon
Here is the 5-30x56 (bottom) and 3-18x44 side by side. Yes, the 56mm is slightly shorter, has a 34mm tube (30mm on the 3-18x44) and a slightly smaller ocular than the 18x.....Sig seems to be engineering each scope as an individual rather than a collective cookie cutter approach.
Following are ocular (note the fiber optic mag indicator), turret, and parallax/illumination controls, 5-25x56 first (it's parallax knob goes up to 500 yards before infinity, the 3-18x44 goes up to 300 yards).
Through the scope reticle pics, 5-25x56 at 5x, 18x, and 30x, and then the 3-18x44 at 3x, 10x, and 18x
IMO, the reticle thickness is just about perfect for an FFP design! Look at that tiny floating dot in relation to that door knob!
IMO, these scopes are very well made, glass is on par or better than Bushnell tactical series, outstanding resolution, minimal CA, just a sweet scope.
